Geriatric Specialist Program
FOX Board Certified Specialist Program
At FOX, we believe in people. We appreciate the challenges and dreams of new graduates and growing professionals. We understand how ongoing training and advanced specialty programs that enhance clinical excellence mean successful results for the practice, the clinician, and most of all—our patients. Our FOX Board Certified Specialist Program gives both new and seasoned clinicians tools to become Board Certified Clinical Specialists (GCS, NCS or OCS).

Board Certification for the Pinnacle of Geriatric Care

What difference does board certification make? Well, if you had a serious heart condition, would you want a generalist or a board-certified cardiologist?

It’s no different with older adults. They want the best care from an expert on geriatrics — as do their families, caretakers, and senior living communities. Not all physical therapists have advanced training in treating the specific and complicated conditions of older adults. FOX Board Certified Clinical Specialists are well equipped to meet the challenges of today’s healthcare environment.

Board Certification Facts

  • A GCS certification is provided through the American Board of Physical Therapy Specialties
  • Some FOX GCS clinicians have been trained through a residency program much like a physician
  • More than 145 FOX clinicians have become Board Certified Clinical Specialists
